BALI: Indonesia Women’s cricket team has qualified for the inaugural International Cricket Council (ICC) Under-19 Women’s World Cup, here on Thursday.
Indonesia’s thrilling triumph over Papa New Guinea (PNG) bolstered the side to qualify for their first-ever world cup.
In a thrilling contest, young Indonesian bowler Ayu Kurniartini displayed nerves of steel as she defended three runs in the final over by claiming two wickets on the first two deliveries to wrap a scintillating achievement for the young side.

Wesikaratna Dewi, the captain of Indonesia, was thrilled with the outcome and has her sights set on the future.
“I am so happy and so proud of the team, said Dewi. “I cannot believe that we have reached this point, but we are now determined to make all of Indonesia proud of our success at the World Cup,” she stated.
