West Indies team lands in Pakistan for ODI series

MULTAN: West Indian squad for Pakistan Tour has arrived here for their upcoming ODI series against the Green Shirts, scheduled to commence on June 8.

In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the West Indian squad can be seen receiving a warm welcome from the PCB officials. The touring side was presented with bouquets and juices.

 

The two teams will lock horns in a three-match ODI series, which is a part of the ongoing ICC World Cup Super League. Pakistan is currently holding the 10th position in the standings with 60 points, whereas, the West Indies are ranked fourth.

The touring side is on their first challenge as they face a better-ranked Pakistan in their home conditions under their new captain – Nicholas Pooran, who took the charge after the legendary Caribbean all-rounder Kieron Pollard hung his boot from international cricket.

The West Indian squad will start training on Tuesday after resting today. Pakistan, on the other hand, will start training today.

The three ODIs will take place on June 8, 10, and 12 here at Multan Cricket Stadium.
