Kings, Zalmi to lock horns today for a comeback in PSL 7

In the 11th match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 7, the two struggling sides; placed at the bottom of the points table – Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings will lock horns, eyeing a bounceback in the ongoing marquee event.

Zalmi, who are currently placed at the second last position, has played three matches so far and managed to win one. Despite starting their PSL 7 campaign with a convincing victory, the 2017 champions lost two encounters afterwards, including a humiliating defeat against Islamabad United.

For the Zalmi, Afghanistan’s Hazratullah Zazai will be a player to watch despite his failure in the last encounter against Lahore Qalandars. Apart from Zazai, Shoaib Malik and Haider Ali can also play a vital role in the team’s success.

It is worth mentioning here that the Kings faced a major blow yesterday as their experienced and rookie pacer – Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Ilyas has been ruled out of the tournament following the injuries and will be worth witnessing how the former champions deal with the unpleasant situation.

HEAD TO HEAD

The two teams have faced each other 15 times, with the Zalmi remaining victorious 10 times, while the Kings could only seal five victories. In the last five encounters, however, the Kings are leading with three wins.
