LAHORE: The Indian Baseball Team will travel to Pakistan next year to compete in the South Asian Games, scheduled to be held here.
The Confederation of Professional Baseball/Softball in India (CPBI) has confirmed the side’s participation in the upcoming South Asian Games.
In a letter to the Pakistan Olympic Association, CPBI Secretary Manoj Kohli affirmed on behalf of his federation that India will compete in the South Asian Games (POA).
“Greetings from Baseball Softball Federation of India. Please accept our heartiest congratulations and best wishes on hosting the XIV South Asian Games, a major multi-sport event In Pakistan in March 2023,” the letter stated.
“We as a federation confirm that the team will definitely participate in the baseball event,” the letter added.
“We therefore request you to kindly send an official invitation so our team can complete its preparations in time,” it concluded.
It is apropos to mention here that the 14th South Asian Games will be held in March 2023 in Pakistan. Pakistan (Host), India, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal, Maldives, and Bhutan will participate in the event.
