Punjab University wins Inter-university Women’s Netball Championship

LAHORE: Punjab University (PU) beat IOBM Karachi by 31-27 to win the Kamyab Jawan Program Pakistan Inter-university Netball Women’s Championship, organized by Punjab University here on Monday.

In the final of the inter-university netball women’s championship, PU secure the tittle by defeating IOBM Karachi in the final by 31-27.

The match for third place was played between Lahore College for Women and Karachi University, with Lahore College winning 41-11 and securing the third place.

In the championship being held from January 28 to January 30, a total of 22 universities from the country participated in this championship, in which PU emerged as victorious.

The event was organized by PU, in collaboration with Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Pakistan Netball Federation (PNF). The colourful event was a part of the Kamyab Jawan Program.

At the closing ceremony, the special guest and the president of PNF – Mudassar Arain distributed the prizes among the top performers. On this occasion, Director of Sports PU – Tahira Saleem and other officials including Muhammad Wasif and Madiha Latif was also present.
