BANGKOK: National women’s team suffered a crushing opening defeat at the hands of Chinese Taipei in the recently commenced Indoor Asia Cup 2022.
The national side had an unwanted start to their Indoor Asia Cup campaign as the Green Shirts lost by a big margin of 7-0 by a weak opponent Chinese Taipei.
The national team struggled throughout the most of the game and could only helplessly try to score the goal but was unable in doing so.
The directions of head coach Naeem Ahmed too, could not help the side to mark themselves on the scoreboard before the Chinese side ran away with a resounding 7-0 victory.
Pakistan women’s hockey team will now lock horns with Kazakhstan in their second match of the ongoing tournament on August 9.
