‘Pakistan players will play for Indian employers again’ Aakash Chopra

KARACHI: Former Indian cricketer and renowned commentator Aakash Chopra indicated the possibility of Pakistan players playing for the Indian-owned franchises in different T20 leagues.

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Aakash explained the outcomes of the new T20 leagues of Cricket South Africa (CSA) and UAE T20 league and raised a possible aspect regarding Pakistan players and asserted that they can play for Indian employers once again.

“Pakistani players are banned in the IPL, but they play in all other T20 leagues. So since Indian franchise owners have bought teams in other leagues, they will be hiring Pakistani players as well,” Aakash claimed.

“This is also going to happen. So, Pakistani players are soon going to play for Indian employers once again,” he maintained.

It is pertinent to mention here that CSA is looking to introduce a cash-rich T20 league and as a result withdrew from their scheduled ODI series against Australia. Furthermore, all six franchises of the league have been acquired by the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise owners.
