Nero breaks Masood’s record of highest individual score in Blind Cricket

BRISBANE: The right-handed opener of the Australia Blind National Cricket Team Steffan Nero broke the record of Pakistan Masood Jan for the highest individual score in the Blind ODIs amid the recently concluded first ODI of the International Inclusion series.

In the first ODI, Nero smashed Masood’s 24-year-old record of the highest individual score as the former played a record-breaking knock of 309 runs against New Zealand in the International Inclusion series.

Masood, the previous record-holder, accomplished the stunning feat against South Africa in the 1998 World Cup, when he scored a then-record-breaking 262 and created a record.

It is pertinent to mention here that Masood’s record for the highest individual score in the ODI World Cup, though, remains unblemished.
